Irish Life Steps Challenge returns!

The Steps Challenge started on January 11th and runs till February 15th. We continue to have  fantastic numbers on week three  and would like to thank all who took part. We are currently ranked in 8th place  out of over 200 clubs.

Keep up the great work. We will reconvene again on Thursday evening at 7pm sharp. The club will be entered into a draw to win O’Neill’s vouchers as we have collectively hit 4000km in steps. You must download the Irish Life app, and register for John Mitchels Kerry as outlined below.

Can we ask everyone to start registering on the “My Life” app. Once downloaded and you’ve completed your profile go to

1: “Challenges”

2: Click into “Munster GAA – Every Step Counts”

3: At the top you will see leader board tap into this and scroll down until you see John Mitchels Kerry

In addition, our Ireland Lights Up weekly walk, in collaboration with “Operation Transformation” will return on Thursday 12th January at 7pm  on our Club walkway. Please join us!

Please spread the word these walks are for our entire community not just members.

6AM FULL BODY STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES FREE FOR ALL MEMBERS
Come along on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Avail of our free strength and conditioning classes being facilitated by George Bastible. All you need is motivation, an exercise mat and water. Open to all 18-year-olds and over.

For 2023, there are a number of membership options available to members. An exciting development for the club has resulted in partnering with Fashion Designer Paul Galvin who has designed a John Mitchels Jersey and Training Top. The opportunity to purchase one of these tops is available as part of our 2023 membership options.

TRAINING 

All teams have now started their strength and conditioning for the 2023 season ahead. Fantastic work underway by all teams taking part.

JOHN MITCHELS SUNDAY MORNING JUVENILE ACADEMY

Returns on Sunday February 26TH from 9.45AM

We cater for ALL boys and girls from 6 years of age to under 11.

Due to high demand, we will also have a junior-infant boys and girls academy catering for boys and girls from 4 years of age to 6 years of age and all this under one roof in our fantastic facilities here in Ballyseedy.

All our coaches are currently doing coaching workshops for the season ahead and they literally cannot wait for February 26th!!!

Senior Ladies
Senior ladies and U16 girls Strength and Conditioning is on Thursdays from 8pm-9pm and Sundays from 11am-12pm. New players always welcome.

Bingo is on Wednesday and Friday nights. Eyes down at 8.30pm sharp. So come along to Chamfers John Joe Sheehy Road Tralee.

John Mitchels GAA Club Lotto Results: Sunday 29th January 2023.

This week’s Lotto numbers are 2, 13, 17 & 20.

The numbers today were drawn by George Lowe, Brendan and Luke O’Mahony.

There was no winner of the Jackpot of €2,800.00.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

We have a clothes bank on site having joined up with St Vincent De Paul to raise much needed funds for both John Mitchels and SVP. All donations welcome.

CLUB WALKWAY

Our walkway is open for everyone to enjoy so come along and take part in a healthy lifestyle. Please respect the rules of the walkway being a smoke free zone, with no cycling, studded boots or dog walking. Many thanks to the users of this facility for respecting these rules.

BOOT CLUB

Our boot club is now back if you want to drop off your old boots so they can be reused, feel free to drop them to reception.

JOHN MITCHELS SPORTS COMPLEX & CHAMFERS

If anyone is interested in hiring the hall for indoor soccer, basketball etc. or our Astro turf please contact club reception on 066 7197070. We are also hiring out our old clubhouse on the John Joe Sheehy Road. You can hold dance classes, meetings, fitness classes, book clubs you name it we can cater your needs.
