Senior Ladies

County league round 1.
The senior ladies travelled to Ballyduff to play their first-round county league game on Sunday afternoon and after a hard-fought game we came away with both points on a score line of 2-12 to 0-9, We played with the elements in the first half and went in at half time on a score Mitchels 1-7 Ballyduff 0-5.

Some staunch defending from Tanya, Lucie and Shannon in this half kept us in the lead with the goal coming from Ava and points from Diana and Grace. The second half saw Ballyduff close the gap but with Simi, Clara and Aoife buzzing around the middle aided by Ashleigh at centre back we got control back with points from Aoife, Ava, Diana pushed us 6 ahead just as a heavy shower came down but it didn’t dampen our game and a goal from Emilia closed out the game.

Kayleigh kept a clean sheet with Lorna, Julie and Ellen defending stoutly and Shauna holding the full forward line we ran out winners. Well done ladies our next outing is v Dingle away details to follow.
