Annual AGM
We held our Annual AGM last Saturday Above in Ballyseedy complex, in a well-attended meeting Chairperson Brid McElligott welcomed everyone to the annual review of club activities in 2022.Our President Ted Fitzgerald spoke about the huge amount of work that it takes to run a club in this day and age. All out going officers were re-elected and Brid encouraged everyone to keep the work that had started in 2022 into 2023 with all committee s working hard, Brid said we all looked forward to getting back into playing action and wished all teams , club members and supporters’ success in 2023.
Irish Life Steps Challenge
The Steps Challenge started on January 11th and runs till February 15th. We had fantastic numbers on the first night and would like to thank all who took part. We will reconvene again on Thursday evening at 7pm sharp. The club will be entered into a draw to win O’Neill’s vouchers once we collectively hit 4000km in steps. You must download the Irish Life app, and register for John Mitchels Kerry as outlined below.
Can we ask everyone to start registering on the “My Life” app. Once downloaded and you’ve completed your profile go to

3: At the top you will see leader board tap into this and scroll down until you see John Mitchels Kerry
In addition, our Ireland Lights Up weekly walk, in collaboration with “Operation Transformation” will return on Thursday 12th January at 7pm on our Club walkway. Please join us!

Come along on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Avail of our free strength and conditioning classes being facilitated by George Bastible. All you need is motivation, an exercise mat and water. Open to all 18-year-olds and over.

Come along to the Astroturf and take part in a one-hour session with George Bastible. Open to all club members, players and parents from minor upwards. If you have the desire to be the best version of yourself, come to John Mitchels at 6pm on Monday and 8pm on Fridays and increase your fitness levels

Membership is a vital part of ensuring the clubs continued success and development. Whether you are a player, coach, supporter, parent of a player or member of the wider community, we welcome all members at John Mitchels. For 2023, there are a number of membership options available to members. An exciting development for the club has resulted in partnering with Fashion Designer Paul Galvin who has designed a John Mitchels Jersey and Training Top. The opportunity to purchase one of these tops is available as part of our 2023 membership options.

This week’s Lotto numbers are 2, 4, 8, 20. The numbers today were drawn by George Lowe and Brid McElligott. There was no winner of the Jackpot of €2,700.00.

We have a clothes bank on site having joined up with St Vincent De Paul to raise much needed funds for both John Mitchel’s and SVP. All donations welcome.
CLUB WALKWAY
Our walkway is open for everyone to enjoy so come along and take part in a healthy lifestyle. Please respect the rules of the walkway being a smoke free zone, with no cycling, studded boots or dog walking. Many thanks to the users of this facility for respecting these rules.
BOOT CLUB
Our boot club is now back if you want to drop off your old boots so they can be reused, feel free to drop them to reception.
