Club Notes

U12 LADIES:
Our U12 ladies had a good win against Finuge St Senans in Round 3 of the North Kerry League Division 2.
We play Na Gaeil on Monday 24th in Na Gaeil and Beale Ballyduff on Thursday 27th April in Ballyseedy.
All the girls are really progressing well under the watchful eye of Edward and Tony.

U14 LADIES:
We played our second game in the County League at home to Kilcummin on Sunday 23rd April. Played in warm humid conditions Mitchels opened the scoring and good team work all over the field saw us lead at half time. Mitchels continued in their good form in the second half and a very disciplined display saw Mitchels win out in the end. Well done to all the players who gave 100% on the day. We now play Glenflesk at home and Moyvane away to play.
Training continues on Thursdays teamers will be sent out.

U 16 LADIES:
We travelled to sun drenched Kilcummin last Thursday evening for our second County League game. Although the sun was shining there was a stong breeze blowing and Kilcummin winning the toss played with the wind.
Mitchels played with great determination and heart and at half time were down 6 points. In the second half Mitchels with the wind really played well and cut the deficit to 2 points and in fairness despite missing a few regulars put in a very honest and committed 60 minutes football never giving up.
Well to all who travelled. We play Listowel at home on May 4th
Training continues Thursday. Teamers will be sent.

Thank you to the players who have returned there membership for 2017 and we would ask all remaining Players to return their membership asap.

U14 BOYS:
Our Under 14's took part in the 1st round of Feile C qualifiers last Wednesday evening in Balyseedy. We were in a group with Knock/Duagh/Brosna and Churchill. Each team played each other in short ten minute aside games with the team with most points going through. In our first game we had a comfortable win over the combined North Kerry outfit winning 4-4 to 0-3.
Conor Commane chipped in with a hat trick and Dara Caplis and David (Tiny) O'Callaghan also featured prominently .
We then had a rest before we played Churchill next. We started very slowly and Churchill were first to everything in the first half and we were lucky to be only losing by 4 points to 1. We started the second half much better and were level before long but credit to Churchill they pushed on again and we needed a well taken Conor Commane goal to get us back in the game. The final two minutes were frantic with both sides squandering great chances to win. In the end a draw was just about right and it means we qualify for the Semi-finals in two weeks time which is indeed one to look forward to.
Over the two matches Conor Commane, Dara Caplis, Ciaran White, Cormac Clifford and Jessie Duggan were to the fore but it was a credit to all the panel on the night and they can look forward now and dream of representing Kerry in the Feile finals this year!
We are back in the Country League again this Wednesday evening when we travel to Mountcoal to take on St. Senans.
Training on Mondays and Fridays at 7.00 p.m.
