We continued in the North Kerry League with a further 2 games. We played Currow away last Monday night and came away winners. On the night all girls played extremely well and that gave us our second win in the North Kerry competition.
On Thursday evening we played Finuge/St Senans at home..This was a very competetitive game with both sides giving their all. An injury to Captain Julie Foley in the first half was a major blow to our young side and Finuge began to get a foothold. Mitchels never dropped the heads and continued to battle to the final whistle loosing by 5 points 3-8 to 4-10.
We now await the other matches to be played to see where we finish in the League to determine if we are in the Shield or Plate Final.
Panel: Paula Rogers, Lauren Smullen, Elizabeth O Connor, Clara Callaghan, Caoimhne Leahy, Taylor Rogers, Julie Foley, Simi Ogungbsa, Kerry Oba, Ruth Moriarty, Kate Ross, Eimear Dowd, Rachel Kilgallen, Melissa Dennehy, Molly Brosnan, Ailbhe Ryle, Jessica Wharton, Mikaela Marshall, Rachel Hannafin, Eimear Murphy

Juvenile training for 2016 continues on Sunday next in John Mitchels Centre of Excellence, Camp, Ballyseedy.

On Sunday last we played Ballymac at our own pitch and it turned out to be very eventful. We had two games each and they were tough encounters with both sides giving it their all. We were a bit slow to get started but as the games went on we showed more spirit and put our bodies on the line and showed a lot of bravery, well done to all the lads. Dathai, Darragh, Luke, Cody and Robert played strong solid games while Gerard, Jack, Cillian, Mark and Nedal all put in a good shift and gave a good account of themselves. Ben, Joe, Will, Sean Og, Andrew, Ted and Sam improved their game skills and put in superb performances. Jaden Adam, Cian, Cathal and Michael continued their development and everyone showed that they are developing into fine players. Well done to all the lads for their committed performance and all this improvement shows that we have a good future.
Training again next Sunday at 10.30 a.m. be on time and make sure you have your gum shields. Would you also try to sell the lines on the card as it will help us provide facilities for the future, when you have them sold give the card and money to your coach Diarmuid, thanks lads and see you on Sunday.

Well it was great to see a bit of sunshine on Sunday last where John Mitchels U8 & U10 boys welcomed Ballymac for challenge games. We had a great turnout with over 35 U8s on the day. The game's started slowly with both teams being a bit sluggish but as the game went on they all got stuck in and both teams put on a great display of football skills. Big thanks to coach Pa Kerins for helping out on the day.
Training continues Sunday morning 10.30 to 11.45 until then keep practicing!!

Training continues every Sunday 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
